Alcon introduces daily disposible contact lenses especially for astigmatism

SINGAPORE - Alcon today announced the launch of DAILIES® AquaComfort® Plus Toric daily disposable contact lenses, specifically designed to offer users with astigmatism the most hygienic, comfortable and convenient lens wearing experience.

A press statement released by Alcon said that Singapore has the highest incidence of myopia in the world, and that 47 per cent require astigmatism correction. People with astigmatism experience blurred vision, headaches, and have difficulty making out fine details due to the shape of the cornea or lens in their eyes.

Alcon's Blink-activated Moisture Technology, which comprises 3 different moisturising agents, and Precision CurveTM lens design, which provides a better fit, will offer contact lens users long-lasting comfort with crisp, clear vision for the entire day.

In addition, the contact lenses are produced with high levels of hygiene in Alcon's fully automated facility in Tuas, and only come into contact with the user's hands when removed from their casing.
