Kiss92 retains top position among English radio stations

Kiss92 leads the pack with the highest growth in cumulative listenership among English radio stations following the release of the results of the latest Nielsen radio survey today.

The station's cumulative listenership now stands at 645,000 following a 3 per cent increase from the previous Nielsen radio survey conducted in September 2014. In terms of share per cent of the total radio listening audience, Kiss92 retained its number one position among English radio stations.

Kiss92 is Singapore's only radio station targeting women aged 30-50 years old. The three year old station plays All the Great Songs in One Place with popular songs from the early 1990s, 2000s and current hits.

Said Mr Jamie Meldrum, Senior Program Director for Kiss92 and ONE FM 91.3: "It is amazing to see the continuous growth of Kiss92. We're a very young station and we're very thankful for the support we've had from our fans over the past three years. It truly motivates us to do better and more for our fans."

UFM100.3, SPH Radio's only Mandarin radio station, garnered 330,000 listeners during this period when the station ran its annual U1000 countdown that allowed fans to vote for their favourite 1,000 mandarin songs.

SPH Radio's newest English radio station, ONE FM 91.3 debuts with a cumulative listenership of 243,000, which is a stellar result for a brand new station that is barely six month old at the time of the survey. ONE FM 91.3, targeted at males aged 30 and above, plays Real Music, with bands like Bon Jovi, Guns N' Roses, Queen, Lenny Kravitz, Red Hot Chili Peppers, U2, Nirvana, Aerosmith, Led Zeppelin, AC/DC and more. The station gave away four big experiences to fans in its key station promotion, the Big Ones, including a flyaway to catch AC/DC live in Munich, and The Rolling Stones in Orlando.

ONE FM 91.3 is set to unveil its full Breakfast Show line up on 6 July 2015, 8am on-air.

Mr Sim Hong Huat, General Manager of SPH Radio, said: "This set of results clearly shows the effort the SPH Radio team has put in. We got the most growth for Kiss92 among all English radio stations, our newest English radio station, ONE FM 91.3 got superb results in its survey debut and UFM held its own in this wave. All thanks to our fans and partners for this great showing."
