SINGAPORE - SPH Magazines has entered into a partnership with Happy 3 Media to revamp GameAxis.com, Singapore's premier website on video gaming news and reviews.
SPH Magazines, which manages and runs popular websites such as HardwareZone.com, HerWorldPLUS.com, HomeandDecor.com.sg and MensHealth.com.sg among others, owns and runs GameAxis.com's content and community discussion portal since 2006. The site currently boasts a community strength of 126,000 gamers with 1.3 million pageviews a month.
Happy 3 Media, which operates video gaming website RobotsGoneBad.com, has collaborated with the GameAxis.com team to redesign GameAxis.com and given it an updated look and feel. SPH Magazines and Happy 3 Media launched the revamped website today, along with a new logo marking the change of creative direction for the website.
As part of the partnership agreement, Happy 3 Media will also be responsible for the content and editorial management of GameAxis.com - including the complete integration and merger of RobotsGoneBad.com - and manage all social media engagements for the GameAxis brand.
Leveraging on Happy 3 Media's editorial expertise in contemporary video game culture, the new GameAxis.com will not only continue to be a trusted source of high-quality video game news and reviews, it will also incorporate relevant opinions and commentary on digital entertainment lifestyles, including more extensive coverage of the burgeoning e-sports scene in Singapore, Malaysia and the rest of Southeast Asia.
Dr. Jimmy Tang, Group Editor of HWM Singapore and HardwareZone.com, SPH Magazines, said: "We are very pleased to have Happy 3 Media as a strategic partner in the redesign of GameAxis.com. Their wealth of experience in both the digital media marketing side of the video game industry as well as a successful on-the-ground editorial approach to RobotsGoneBad.com will help us build upon the strong communal foundations of the GameAxis brand and drive the creation of fresh, new content ideas that will be relevant to both readers and advertisers."
Mr Aaron Yip, Managing Editor of Happy 3 Media, will spearhead the project. Mr Yip said: "We are proud to have been chosen to help power up one of Singapore's beloved video gaming properties and are confident that the enhanced website and content that Happy 3 Media brings to the table will help expand its brand presence and reach."
