Ex-actress Cathy Tsui receives $22 million yacht from billionaire husband

SINGAPORE - For former Hong Kong actress Cathy Tsui, who has been described as a real-life Cinderella by the media, life just seems to keep getting better and better, after she married her billionaire husband Martin Lee.

The couple is set to celebrate their upcoming seventh year wedding anniversary and Tsui's birthday with another million-dollar yacht, a Sunseeker Predator 130, reported Jayne Stars, an online news site. The new yacht which is said to cost around HKD$135 million (S$21 million), will be named 'Cathy', after the former model who has a passion for the outdoors.

According to online reports, Tsui and her husband were seen at the Hong Kong Marina Cove Yacht Club, trying out their new yacht in early November. It is said to be bigger than their current one and can accommodate around 10 guests and comes with a living room and suites which gives 'breathtaking views'. The new yacht is said to be for the family's getaways.

Tsui, who is turning 31 years old at the end of November, has three children with her husband Martin Lee, the son of Hong Kong property magnate Lee Shau Kee. Tsui is said to be a 'beloved' daughter-in-law for blessing the family with children.

Within five years of marriage, the couple have become parents to two girls and a boy, who was born in 2011. To celebrate the birth of his son, Lee, vice-president of Henderson Land Property, purchased the family's first luxurious yacht, a Sunseeker Predator 115, at around HKD$110 million, and named it 'Triston', after his son.

The former TVB actress has raised the envy of her fans and followers from the beginning, said online reports.

Blessed with beauty and brains, Cathy Tsui was born into a family of reportedly good background, said Jayne Stars. The talented former actress even studied in the prestigious University College London and eventually graduated from London School of Economics, reported online media. Her husband even waited for her to finish her studies before he proposed to her, according to entertainment sites online.

The former model and her husband had known each other since they were teenagers before they got married in a lavish ceremony in Sydney, Australia in 2006.

Their matrimony ceremony was even described as the 'Wedding of the century' by Jayne Stars. Tsui was said to be pregnant with their first child, daughter Leanna, at the wedding.

Before she married Lee, Tsui was reportedly in a relationship with former co-star and actor, Timmy Hung. According to online news, the pair dated in secret for a while before confirming their romance. They got together after filming a television series in 2000. However, the couple broke it off in 2002 after Tsui's mother disapproved of Hung.

Her next romance before marriage was with a man older than her by a year. She was said to have dated this man, reportedly named Brian, whom her mother approved. The relationship only lasted around a year, said online reports. Tsui is said to have denied the romance, claiming that he was just a friend.

She started dating her current husband in 2004, according to media reports. In the beginning, Tsui denied they were together but only admitted the romance after she felt pressured by the media who had photographed them holding hands and holidaying together. The couple eventually got married at the Royal Botanic Gardens in Sydney, Australia, in 2006.
