English trance trio Above And Beyond (above) will be in town for this year's ZoukOut.

Nightclub Zouk has confirmed 10 DJ acts for this year's outdoor rave-fest ZoukOut, including English trance trio Above And Beyond and Dutch DJ Nicky Romero, who is ranked No. 7 in DJ Magazine's most recent annual Top 100 DJs poll.

The full line-up will be announced in the weeks to come.

Other acts confirmed for the annual festival so far are German DJ and electronic music producer LocoDice, Dutch progressive house DJ Dannic, Dutch big room music duo W&W, Dutch progressive house and electro duo Showtek, Russian DJ vocalist Nina Kraviz, American electro-house DJ Steve Aoki and Greek-Swedish DJ Steve Angello of famed dance music trio Swedish House Mafia.

Tickets for the festival, to be held at Sentosa's Siloso Beach on Dec 12 and 13, go on sale on Monday at 3pm via www.zoukout.com.

Zouk is selling two-day passes at $208. Early- bird tickets will be sold at $118 for Day 1 and $128 for Day 2 passes. There are additional discounts for Citibank cardholders.

The prices are higher than last year's, when two-day passes sold for $168 and early-bird tickets cost from $98 for a one-day pass.

Ms Sofie Chandra, Zouk's head of business development and public relations, says the increase is due to DJ booking fees rising "astronomically" and "the increase in production capabilities and technical riders for each artist... getting more elaborate each year".

She adds: "This continues to increase all cost components for us along with increased artist fees, and set-up and production costs."

For the first time, Zouk is introducing a premium tier of tickets called the Venus Stand. The 300 premium passes, which cost $388 each, allow ticketholders to enjoy priority entry and access to a private area with its own bar and toilets.

Now in its 14th year, ZoukOut will feature more than 20 international and local dance music acts spanning the two days. It attracted a crowd of 41,000 last year.
