Places in the world have different categories they belong to. Some are more positively classified as majestic or exceptional while others have negative labels of overrated or commercial.
There are also places in the world that are known to be unusual or even creepy, such as the Catacombs of Paris or the Blood Falls in Antarctica. However, apart from the positive and negative categories, there are places which have earned the special status of surrealism.
The magical feel about surreal places makes them seem like they belong to another universe. One such place is the Great Blue Hole in Ambergris Caye, Belize, which is located on the northeastern coast of Central America. In 2012, Discovery Channel named it one of the "10 Most Amazing Places on Earth".
Another surreal place to visit is the Pinnacles in Cervantes, Australia. A traveller on TripAdivsor said that the pinnacles "seem to go on forever and the entire area has an otherworldly feel to it".
In the Asian region, a few unique landmarks should not be missed too. These include the Chocolate Hills in Bohol Island, Philippines and the Stone Forest in Yunnan, China.
A written description of these surreal places is not enough to satisfy a hungry appetite for a personal buffet of witnessing these places in person. So what are you waiting for?
