Be prepared for delays at checkpoints this long weekend: ICA

SINGAPORE - With Hari Raya Haji coming up on Oct 5, 2014, traffic flow through the Woodlands and Tuas checkpoints is expected to be heavy.

The Immigration & Checkpoints Authority (ICA) is advising travellers intending to use the land checkpoints during the peak periods from Friday (Oct 3) till Monday (Oct 6) to be prepared for delays at the checkpoints.

Travellers departing Singapore are also advised to take public transport.

Singaporeans, Singapore Permanent Residents and Long Term Pass holders are encouraged to use the enhanced Immigration Automated Clearance System lanes at the bus halls to pass through immigration for faster clearance.

For more traffic information, travellers can call the traffic information hotline at 6863-0117 or visit the Land Transport Authority's One Motoring website (http://www.onemotoring.com.sg).
