Changi Airport upgrades free mobile travel app, users stand to win air tickets

SINGAPORE - Changi Airport has upgraded its Weekend Escapades mobile app to give users more ideas and choices.

Packed with travel tips on 52 destinations within a six-hour flight radius of Singapore, the app now comes with new functions like sharing, bookmarking, rating and searching by interest. A ready-to-use itinerary is offered for each city.

Flight searches and the latest airline promotions are also available to users, Changi Airport Group said on Monday.

To celebrate the launch of the refreshed new look, there will be weekly contests with air tickets up for grabs. To take part, users have to download the Weekend Escapades app and find a luggage icon hidden within the app using clues provided.

Mr Kelvin Ng, Changi Airport Group's assistant vice-president for marketing communications, said: "Following positive feedback from those who have used the app previously, we discovered that holiday-makers are keen to explore new travel destinations and we have designed an enhanced app that offers information on even more unique nearby getaways - one for every weekend of the year."
