Extra-long weekend boosts air travel

SINGAPORE - Changi Airport handled 4.68 million passengers last month, a 9.4 per cent increase from a year ago.

Air traffic movements also grew, with 29,600 landings and take-offs in the month, up 8.2 per cent from a year ago.

Changi Airport explained that travel demand was boosted by the extra-long weekend that included both the Hari Raya Puasa and National Day public holidays here.
