Rooms at the 1888 Hotel in Sydney are priced at US$140 ($177) per night, but guests who are popular on Instagram do not have to pay a cent.
According to an article in Design Taxi, all elements at the the five-story hotel have been carefully considered to be 'Instagram-worthy'.
Named after the year Kodak released its first box and roll camera, the hotel has free WiFi and an iPad in each of the 90 rooms.
As soon as visitors step into the lobby, they are greeted by a digital mural of Instagram-taken pictures, and can make use of a spot for 'selfies' to post a picture of their check-in.
Guests who have more than 10,000 followers on Instagram, or those who take the best pictures while staying at the hotel, can win a free night's stay.
