Inside Hello Kitty's first long-haul plane

TAIWAN - Taiwanese carrier, EVA Air, has launched its first long-range Hello Kitty aircraft in the United States.

The Boeing 777-300ER aircraft - draped in Hello Kitty and Sanrio livery - has taken to the skies, flying from Taipei to Los Angeles under the captaincy of EVA chairman and airline captain K.W. Chang.

The Hello Kitty Hand-in-Hand jetliner will be utilised on three of EVA Air's 17 regular weekly flights between Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) and Taoyuan International Airport (TPE).

Flying the Hello Kitty jet will be a unique experience for US passengers, with Hello Kitty boarding passes and baggage stickers issued at check-in and Hello Kitty designed products onboard.

EVA Air currently operates five regional Hello Kitty aircraft in Asia.
