Here's your chance to fly on a Hello Kitty jet in Dec

Hello kitty fans, attention please! Taiwan's EVA Air is set to bring the popular Hello Kitty jets to Singapore for a limited time this December with nine available departure dates on chartered flights.

The Hello Kitty chartered flights from Singapore to Taipei will be sold exclusively at six travel agents. They are: Chan Brothers Travel, CS Travel, CTC Travel, Dynasty Travel, Green Holidays and New Chan Travel.

For fans, the Hello Kitty experience is expected to be wholesome. It begins at check-in with the issuance of Hello Kitty decorated boarding passes and baggage stickers.

On board, a splash of pink greets passengers as they pass the Hello Kitty headrest covers and pillows en-route to their allocated seats.

Hello Kitty shaped food accompanied with themed cups and utensils will be served by flight attendants wearing Hello Kitty aprons and special insignias on their uniforms.

The Hello Kitty experience does not just stop here. In the restroom, there are hand-washing liquid, hand lotion, tissues and even toilet rolls in Hello Kitty theme provided for passengers. Now, why are we not surprised?

In addition, Hello Kitty fans can browse through over 100 in-flight service items and have the chance to purchase exclusive limited-edition Hello Kitty duty-free products and collectibles on-board.

Travel agents will sell customised holiday packages to suit the Hello Kitty theme. However, each travel agent offers only limited seats and Hello Kitty jet themes used for each chartered flight will be subjected to aircraft scheduling, said EVA Air in a statement to the media on Monday.

To date, EVA Air has launched six variants of the Hello Kitty Jet on flights from Taiwan to Japan, Korea, Hong Kong, Mainland China, Guam, and the United States, each having its own unique theme like the EVA Hello Kitty Magic.

This year, Hello Kitty celebrates her 40th anniversary. Anniversary celebrations include a fan convention, a first-of-its-kind museum exhibition and limited edition merchandise.
