KLIA aerotrains back to normal operations

PETALING JAYA - The two Aerotrains at the KL International Airport are running again after they were out of service on Saturday night.

The incident had caused a bottleneck of restless passengers who waited anxiously to be transported from the main terminal to the satellite building.

Shuttle buses were despatched to ferry the passengers to their boarding gate.

Malaysia Airports Holdings Bhd (MAHB) operation services senior general manager Datuk Azmi Murad said the situation had returned to normal after the trains resumed services yesterday morning.

"I am waiting to see the report on the incident and MAHB will take the necessary steps after that.

"However, we are continuously monitoring the services and will take action to ensure operations are running smoothly," he said when contacted yesterday.

It was reported the Aerotrains had failed to operate on Saturday night due to "a small problem" that was not explained.
