Malaysia Airlines, AirAsia named best carriers in Asia

SINGAPORE - Malaysia Airlines has been named Asia's Leading Airline in the World Travel Awards, while Singapore Airlines only bagged the award for Asia's Leading Airline Lounge.
AirAsia, Malaysia's budget carrier, was also named Asia's Leading Low-cost Airline at the event which took place in Dubai this week.
Changi Airport took the spot for Asia's Leading Airport, while other Singapore accolades included PSA Singapore for Asia's Leading Cruise Port, Suntec Singapore for Asia's Leading Meetings & Conference Centre, while Singapore was named as Asia's Leading Meetings & Conference Destination.
Other Singapore hotels like Grand Park City Hall, Raffles, and Swissôtel The Stamford, to name a few, also took home various awards for their own categories.
According to AFP Relaxnews, winners of the World Travel Awards Grand Final will be announced on Nov 30 in Doha, Qatar.
