SINGAPORE - Visitors to the award-winning Night Safari will be able to purchase admission tickets at a special rate of $20 during the weekend of May 24 to 26, when the park celebrates its 20th anniversary.
Singaporeans and permanent residents can purchase the discounted tickets at the park's ticketing counter. Usual entrance fees are priced at $39 for adults and $25 for children aged three to 12 years of age.
Guests visiting the Safari that weekend can expect a birthday carnival with activities like pyrotechnic performances, including a fire dance by the Thumbuakar tribe, face-painting, and an exhibition highlighting the milestones in its 20-year history.
The award-winning attraction will also be offering guided walks three times a night along the Fishing Cat Trail - the park's first-ever exhibit. The trail highlights not only the fishing cat but also houses the world's first Sunda pangolin exhibit and other animals native to Singapore such as the common palm civet and slow loris.
Opened in 1994, Night Safari is the 11-time winner of Singapore Tourism Board's Best Attraction award. It houses more than 2,500 animals from over 130 species in its 35-hectare park, including Malayan tigers, Asian elephants, and markhors.
The park promotes biodiversity and also focuses on the captive breeding of threatened species.
