Quantum of the Seas comes to Singapore

Royal Caribbean International's Quantum Of The Seas will come to Singapore next year to offer two special sailings to vacationers in the region. The 167,800 gross registered ton Quantum Of The Seas is 18 decks high and carries 4,180 guests at double occupancy.

The cruise ship will debut in November, and arrive in Singapore on June 11 next year for an overnight halt, as part of the Quantum Global Odyssey from New York to Shanghai.

It will sail on a three-night cruise to Kuala Lumpur (Port Klang) the following day, followed by a nine-night one-way cruise to Shanghai (Baoshan), visiting Ho Chi Minh City (Phu My), Hong Kong (overnight) and Xiamen.

Before its Singapore arrival, it will sail from Dubai in late May for 14 nights, with calls at Muscat, Cochin (overnight) and Penang.

The ship will introduce several first-at-sea onboard experiences, such as Ripcord by iFLY, a skydiving experience at sea and North Star, a thrilling adventure that transports guests more than 90m in the air, delivering awe-inspiring 360-degree views in a jewel-shaped, glass capsule.

Quantum Of The Seas also introduces "Dynamic Dining", a new culinary experience that offers 18 restaurant concepts, including speciality restaurants created with partner chefs including the first-at-sea outpost of Jamie's Italian, the hugely popular restaurant from Jamie Oliver.

Staterooms are on average 9 per cent larger than those of the world's largest Oasis class ships.
