Rihanna is definitely having a ball in Barbados.

On Saturday, the pop star, who is on vacation there, posted an Instagram shot of herself in a skimpy gold and rhinestone two-piece as she posed by a pool with her brother Rajad.

Earlier in the week, she showed off her curves in a khaki number and also a more conservative blue swimsuit, UK's Daily Mail reported.

RiRi has been making the most of a rare break in her schedule by enjoying a sun-soaked festive break in her native land.

The 25-year-old needs all the rest she can get as she gears up to front French fashion line Balmain.

The singer, who has a hand in designing her range of outfits for River Island, will be the face of the label's Spring 2014 range, which launches next month.

Meanwhile, she is whisking her close model friend Cara Delevingne, 21, to New York for a New Year party, the Daily Mirror reported.

Rihanna is hosting a celebration for 50 close friends and family at US rapper Jay-Z's 40/40 club tomorrow night.

She asked Delevingne over Christmas if she would fly out with her and be her "date" for the evening.

And in typical diva style, Rihanna has hired a private jet.

FESTIVE PERIOD

A source close to the pair, who have been spending lots of time together in Barbados over the festive period, said: "Rihanna and Cara have become really close, so they were delighted when they realised they would both be on the same Caribbean Island for Christmas.

"Rihanna is so excited Cara is going with her, it's going to be a huge party. The guest list is very A-list, but Cara and Rihanna will be the stars of the show."

Delevingne spent Christmas in Barbados with her parents and older sister Poppy while Rihanna stayed at home with her family, who live on the isle.
