SINGAPORE - Resorts World Sentosa (RWS) and Universal Studios Singapore have each been awarded TripAdvisor's Certificate of Excellence for 2014, a recognition reserved for establishments with distinctive performance in hospitality and tourism.
To achieve this accolade, the establishments must have consistently scored outstanding reviews on travel site, TripAdvisor, and have received an overall rating of four or higher, out of a possible five.
Since it opened in 2010, the integrated holiday resort has won numerous awards. This year, the holiday resort won two awards at the World Luxury Spa Awards 2014 for the Best Luxury Wellness Spa in Singapore and Best Luxury Destination Spa in Asia, and was also the first in the region to attain the Silver International Aquatic Safety Award by Ellis & Associates for Adventure Cove Waterpark.
One of its main attractions, Universal Studios Singapore, has also made headlines by bagging the AsiaOne People's Choice Award for Best Attraction in Singapore. The entertainment park was a previous recipient of TripAdvisor's Traveler's Choice Award as well.
Mr Goh Chye Boon, Executive Vice President of Resort Operations at RWS, said: "Receiving the affirmation through guests' reviews makes this award even more meaningful, as it means that we have created lasting memories for our guests".
"At RWS, we strive to always deliver the best experience to all guests and there's always something new happening at the Resort," Mr Goh added.
This June, RWS added The Trick Eye Museum to its list of attractions. The South Korean museum provides visitors with 3D illusion exhibits and sculptures.
