SINGAPORE - Budget carrier Scoot is offering 2 cents for return fares from Bangkok or Hong Kong back to Singapore, in celebration of its second anniversary.

Customers have to buy an economy ticket to enjoy the 2 cents return price.

The sale lasts until June 5 and the travel period is until March 28, 2015. Both departure and return flights must be booked at the same time, said Scoot. Taxes, fees and surcharges are excluded from the price.

Return flights for other Scoot destinations are priced at $22 onwards. The special fares can be found on

Other than the exclusive fares, Scoot will be giving away goodies at 12 locations in Singapore today until 9pm. Each location will represent a Scoot destination and Facebook fans can stand a chance to win travel vouchers to fly to that city.

For customers who are already travelling with Scoot, they will be able to get free seat upgrades, travel vouchers and goodies on selected flights.

CEO of Scoot, Campbell Wilson, said the airline is extremely grateful for the support they have received during their first two years of operations.

Scoot has carried more than 2.6 million people to date, according to Wilson, and is working to bring better flight deals and more destinations to their customers.

Since it started, Scoot has grown to operate six aircrafts to 13 cities in seven countries and territories. The company now employes over 600 people today, after starting from a team of four.
