What: This historical and cultural museum is located at Mount Fortress, which was built by the Jesuits in the early 17th century and was for a long time the city's principal military-defence structure.

The first floor provides an insight into the way Western and Chinese civilisations developed before the arrival of the Portuguese in the 16th century.

Visitors are treated to a range of popular art and traditions on the second floor, while the third floor highlights contemporary Macau.

Where: No. 112 Praceta do Museu de Macau

Admission: 15 pataca (S$2.30) for adults. Free entry on every 15th of the month.



What: The museum was opened in 1993 to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the Macau Grand Prix. It boasts a collection of machines - including race cars that won the Guia circuit - representing the history of one of the most exciting circuits in the world.
