Tour China's 'fairy land'

Jiuzhaigou offers some of the most spectacular scenery in China. Dotted with numerous lakes and waterfalls, it is no wonder the region is often referred to as "fairy land".

An easy way to get there is to join a tour group, which saves you the time and hassle of planning your journey.

Air Sino-Euro Associates Travel has two options - an eight-day tour or a 10-day one.

One of the highlights of both tours is a visit to the famous Shuzhengqun Gully, Zechazhu Gully and Rize Gully, which form the shape of the letter Y.

And if you want a picture-postcard experience, take in the Huanglong scenic area's breathtaking beauty. So stunning is the scenery that it is often compared to a piece of art work because of its mountains, gorges, snow peaks, waterfalls and lakes.

The tour also includes a visit to Mount Emei's Golden Summit. The mountain is one of the four sacred Buddhist mountains in China and is known as the place of Buddhist rites of Puxian.

The Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding is a stop like no other. Here, visitors can see the animals and learn about their environment and needs.

For the 10-day tour, one of the highlights is the Luding Suspension Bridge built in 1706, the 44th year of Qing Emperor Kangxi's reign.

Another must-visit is the Hailuogou scenic area, which features Asia's longest cableway.
