Zombie fever hits Sentosa at fun run

SINGAPORE - Halloween, which falls on Oct 31, came early for the 14,000 or so people who participated in Race The Dead, a zombie run organised by Celebrity Trainer and presented by SingTel mio TV over the weekend.

The 5km event, which took place yesterday and on Saturday at Sentosa's Siloso Beach, saw runners traverse a series of obstacles while dodging hordes of "zombies".

Tickets for the event had sold out within 14 hours of being released. There has been a resurgence of interest in zombies in recent years, thanks to television shows like The Walking Dead and movies like Warm Bodies.

After the race on Saturday concluded, 263 people came together to set a new record for Most People Showering Simultaneously (Single Venue) in the Singapore Book Of Records.

The effort will also be submitted to the Guinness Book Of World Records, SingTel said.

What a scream.
