Foreign vehicle entry permits

SINGAPORE - The Land Transport Authority (LTA) has announced significant increases in the Vehicle Entry Permit (VEP) fee and the Goods Vehicle Permit (GVP) fee for all foreign-registered vehicles entering Singapore.

The VEP fee for cars will be upped from $20 to $35 per day, while the GVP fee for goods vehicles will quadruple from $10 to $40 per calendar month - with effect from Aug 1.

The LTA said the fee increases are part of its latest review, which is periodically undertaken to ensure that the cost of owning and using a foreign-registered vehicle in Singapore is commensurate with that of owning and using a Singapore-registered vehicle.
