Prime mover crashes into lorry

SINGAPORE - A prime mover crashed into a stationary lorry at Jurong Town Hall towards Tuas.

A passing motorist, Mr Razali Razak, was driving to work on Jurong Island on Saturday afternoon when he saw the scene.

"The roof of the prime mover was smashed, with a lot of glass and debris around it," said Mr Razali.

"I saw a man inside the vehicle who looked hurt - he had blood on his face."

He added that passers-by had tried to help pull the driver from the wreckage before help arrived.

The Singapore Civil Defence Force said that a call for assistance was received at 3.13pm yesterday.

The 35-year-old male driver of the prime mover was the only one injured and was taken to National University Hospital.

He suffered swelling due to head injuries, cuts to his hands and a bloody nose.
