Road closures for Standard Chartered Marathon 2013

SINGAPORE - Some roads will be closed on Sunday, Dec 1, for the Standard Chartered Marathon Singapore 2013.

These roads will be closed during the stipulated timings:

1.00 am to 7.30 am

- 2 left lanes of Paterson Road in the direction of Irwell Bank Road (between Orchard Road and Orchard Boulevard)

- 3 right lanes of Orchard Road (between Paterson Road and Mount Elizabeth Road)

- 4 right lanes of Orchard Road (between Mount Elizabeth Road and Cavenagh Road)

- 3 right lanes of Orchard Road (between Cavenagh Road and Buyong Road)

- Grange Road (between Orchard Road and Somerset Road)

- Oxley Road (between Penang Road and Orchard Road)

- 3 left lanes of Buyong Road (between Orchard Road and Penang Road)

- 3 centre lanes of Penang Road (between Buyong Road and Penang Lane)

- 3 left lanes of Penang Road (between Penang Lane and Fort Canning Link)

-Extreme left lane of Ayer Rajah Expressway in the direction of Tuas (between Exit 18 and Exit 17A)

-2 left lanes of East Coast Parkway in the direction of Ayer Rajah Expressway (between Ophir Road and Exit 17A)

-Ophir Road (between Beach Road and Republic Boulevard)

In addition, there will be a change in vehicular traffic direction along the following roads/lanes

from 1.00 am to 7.30 am:

-3 right lanes of Armenian Street in the direction of Stamford Road (between Coleman Street and Stamford Road) shall be reversed

- Loke Yew Street in the direction of Hill Street (between Hill Street and Armenian Street) shall be reversed

-2 right lanes of Coleman Street in the direction of Hill Street (between North Bridge Road and Hill Street) shall be reversed

-the right lane of North Boat Quay in the direction of Hill Street (between North Bridge Road and Hill Street) shall be reversed

-the 3 left lanes of Orchard Link travelling from Grange Road in the direction of Bideford Road (between Orchard Turn and Orchard Road) shall be reversed

-Orchard Turn in the direction of Orchard Boulevard (between Orchard Link and lamp post 13) shall be reversed

-North Canal Road in the direction of Merchant Road (between New Bridge Road and South Bridge Road) shall be reversed.

from 1.00 am to 8.00 am

-2 right lanes of North Bridge Road in the direction of South Bridge Road (between Stamford Road and North Boat Quay) shall be reversed;

-2 right lanes of South Bridge Road in the direction of Neil Road (between North Boat Quay and North Canal Road) shall be reversed;

- Hong Kong Street shall become a 2-way road - Street shall become a 2-way road.

from 1.00 am to 10.30 am

-Mountbatten Road in the direction of Sims Way (between Kampong Kayu and Fort Road) shall be reversed;

- Fort Road in the direction of Mountbatten Road (between Mountbatten Road and Meyer Road) shall be reversed

- the extreme right lane of Fort Road in the direction of Mountbatten Road (between Meyer Road East Coast Park Service Road) shall be reversed.

from 1.00 am to 2.30 pm

- 2 right lanes of Collyer Quay in the direction of Raffles Quay (between Finlayson Green and Fullerton Road) shall be reversed;

- the extreme right lane of Raffles Avenue in the direction of Esplanade Drive (between Temasek Avenue and Singapore Flyer car park entrance) shall be reversed;

-the 2 right lanes of Raffles Boulevard in the direction of Raffles Avenue (between Temasek Avenue and Raffles Avenue) shall be reversed.

There will be auxiliary police officers at all affected road junctions to regulate traffic and assist motorists.

Vehicles found parking indiscriminately or causing obstruction will be towed away.

SBS and SMRT bus services along the affected roads will be diverted during the road closures.
