SCDF to conduct operational exercise at Marina Bay Floating Platform on July 17

SINGAPORE - The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) will be conducting a ground deployment exercise at the Marina Bay Floating Platform on July 17, from 1.30am to 3.30am.

The exercise, part of SCDF's on-going efforts to validate and update operational plans and procedures, will involve around 300 personnel and 30 emergency and supporting vehicles.

The public is advised not to be alarmed.

All operational vehicles participating in this exercise will have their beacon lights switched on to alert motorists. Signages will also be placed in the vicinity to inform the public of the exercise.

To facilitate the movement and deployment of the emergency vehicles, up to 3 lanes will be closed along Raffles Avenue between the junction of Temasek Avenue and Raffles Link on July 17. The lanes will be closed from 1.30am till the end of the exercise.
