Suitcase scooter can do 20kmh and run for 60km on one charge

How nice would it be if you didn't have to drag your luggage along at the end of a long plane or train journey?

How much better would it be if luggage dragged you along as it scoots on home?

Well, you just may be able to do that soon.

A man in China has created a suitcase scooter that can travel up to 20kmh, carry up to two people at a time, and run for 50 to 60km on a charge.

The scooter even has Global Positioning System and a navigation device.

According to China's Changsha Wanbao, the creator, Mr He Liangcai, is a farmer in his late 50s who made his fortune in the 1980s running a car repair business.

Mr He was apparently inspired to create the scooter when he was reminded to collect his luggage after a particularly long and tiring trip in 1999. He thought to himself: "How nice it would be if the luggage could carry me."

The scooter is powered by a lithium battery, and also has a anti-theft feature. The luggage can be used to store things and is itself just 7kg.
