Compl(e)ments Of - Pop-up cafe

Two home-grown food and beverage players - Leon Foo of artisan coffee roaster Papa Palheta and kitschy coffee joint Chye Seng Huat Hardware, and Willin Low, chef-owner of Singapore-inspired restaurant Wild Rocket - are collaborating on a new pop-up cafe, Compl(e)ments Of, in Little India.

The cafe, which opens today, is part of gallery, retail and exhibition space Temporium. It will close, along with the gallery, next March.

For breakfast ($8) today, expect soft-boiled eggs with truffle soya sauce, a croissant and coffee (add $2 if you want tea).

For lunch and dinner, tuck into a salmon red rice donburi with jicama salad ($16, above). Be sure to save space for chef Low's signature pandan panna cotta with salted gula melaka ($8) - local flavours that I can never say no to.

A soft-shell chilli crab burger in a squid-ink bun (below) will also be introduced soon.

Where: Compl(e)ments Of, 72 & 74 Dunlop Street
MRT: Little India
Open: 9 - 11.30am (breakfast), 11.30am - 3pm (lunch), 3 - 6.30pm (tea), 6.30 - 10pm (dinner). Last orders for dinner at 9pm. Closed on Mondays
