Epic four-tier steamboat in Singapore

Whether its reunion dinners, or simply a get together with friends, Singaporeans just cannot resist gathering round the table for a good ol' hot pot. Looking for something more exciting?

In this first episode of the SoShiok Show, where we hunt down the yummiest and shiokest food in Singapore... we find not one, not two, but a FOUR-tier steamboat!

This unique steamboat can be found at Peach Garden restaurant at Thomson Plaza, the only place in Singapore that offers it. Introduced in early April, the hotpot meal is served as an a la carte buffet.

Nelson Ng, the assistant manager of Peach Garden at Thomson Plaza, shared that the first tier is for the soup, while the second tier is a hot plate. "The third tier is for keeping warm. When you put this on, make sure the angle is right and straight. And the last tier is a steamer for xiao long bao and other foods," he adds while demonstrating in the video.

Peach Garden caught on to the idea of the four-tier steamboat from restaurants in Guangzhou and Hong Kong, where steamboat is popular.
