Food picks: Brunch at Bochinche

Bochinche recently revamped its brunch menu and there are lots to love among its offerings.

The Green Asparagus, Baked Brie And Grated Granola ($19) is a healthy dish to wake up to, packed with fibre, vitamins and calcium that are all so good for the body.

It tastes great too, with the refreshing asparagus spears flavoured with melted cheese.

Meat lovers will be happy with the Bife Ancho Rib Eye Steak ($55 for 300g, right), which is grilled perfectly to the doneness I request - medium rare - leaving it pink and juicy in the centre.

You should share it though; 300g is a lot of meat for the first meal of the day.

My favourite dish is much lighter.

The Whole Sea Bass With Tomatoes And Toasted Almonds ($35) is delicious.

You not only taste the sweetness of the fresh fish but the tomatoes and almonds also take it to another level by adding acidity and a nutty aroma to the flavours.

The crunch of the almond flakes adds texture as well.

This is one dish I can eat not just for brunch, but also for lunch and dinner.
