Free Whopper burgers for soldiers in uniform

SINGAPORE - Singapore's soldiers are in for a treat on Friday September 27, 2013, as Burger King's White Sands restaurant located at Pasir Ris central will serve 1,000 free Whopper burgers to Singapore's soldiers.

From 1.30pm onwards, the first 1,000 soldiers dressed in their "number 4" uniforms to visit the restaurant will be given a free Whopper burger.

Said General Manager of the fast food chain, Mr Wong Shyang Jiuu: "The Whopper is our iconic burger and has been around for more than 55 years. It is also the largest burger on our menu.

"We know that our soldiers, especially the recruits, work and train extremely hard, and as such they deserve a fulfilling meal that they truly love. We wanted to show our appreciation and give them an opportunity to satiate their appetite, on us."

This is Burger King Singapore's latest local initiative, after launching the Rendang Burger, and the BK PepperKing burger, and follows the announcement of Ah Boys to Men's Tosh Zhang and Wang Wei Liang as BK brand ambassadors.

The soldiers will also be able to complete their meals with a can of Coke Zero and a pack of medium fries at a special package price of $2 (UP $4.90), and the 1,001th soldier onwards will be able to buy a Whopper burger for half the price(UP $5.95).

This promotion is available only for that day.
