The restaurant chain's newly introduced Wholesome Meals aims to satisfy health-conscious foodies. Its rice bowls and ramen make for a relatively low-calorie meal of 500kcals and under.
The brown rice in Wholesome Meals rice-bowl sets is rich in naturally occurring oils.
Wholesome Meals also comes with a cup of corn and mineral water, to round off your meal.
Most of Yoshinoya's rice bowls are also topped with a colourful mix of vegetables like broccoli and carrots to offer customers a balanced meal. The vegetables complement the variety of meats that customers can choose from, including beef, teriyaki chicken and salmon.
Four new toppings were introduced recently to add flavour to the rice bowls, bringing the total number of topping options to 10.
The new toppings include seaweed, marinated jellyfish and sweet corn. They complement original toppings such as soft-boiled egg and spicy flakes.
Founded by Eikichi Matsuda and named after his hometown in Yoshino-Cho, Osaka, Yoshinoya has over 1,200 outlets around the world.
Yoshinoya started here in 1997 and has expanded to 17 restaurant outlets and three food-court stalls islandwide.
