Ikea recalls its rhubarb crumble tarts; item missing from Finnish ingredient listing

SINGAPORE- In a statement released on Thursday, Ikea Singapore said that the word "egg powder" was missing in the Finnish ingredient declaration of the product. The allergen is declared in all other languages listed.

A representative for IKEA Singapore has issued the following statement:

SINGAPORE - IKEA wants to make customers aware that the word egg powder is missing in the Finnish ingredient declaration for PAJ RABARBER Rhubarb crumble tarte sold in the Swedish Food Market at the IKEA store.

Egg is an allergen and persons allergic to eggs should not eat the product.

Customers having concerns are welcome to return the product to the Swedish Food Market at the IKEA Store and receive a full refund.

Please note that it is only in the Finnish text that the word for egg powder is missing. In all other languages egg powder is declared. The product with the Finnish text has been distributed to Finland, Sweden, Norway, Germany, Austria, Russia, Poland, Hungary, Slovak Republic, Romania, Czech Republic, Lithuania, Thailand, and Singapore.

IKEA apologises for any inconvenience this may cause.
