Indulge in Japanese food at Spring Kyushu Fair

SINGAPORE - Japanese food lovers are in luck - a food fiesta with goodies from Kyushu will be held at Tampines Mall from April 3 till April 13.

At the Spring Kyushu Fair 2014, fresh specialities like traditional pickled plums and premium honey juice made from yuzu, blueberry and grapes can be purchased at $20 for 250g and $25 per 500g bottle respectively.

Other gastronomical delights include fresh roll cake in plain, chocolate and matcha green tea flavours. A 12cm fresh roll cake costs $15 and a 24cm one costs $25.

A steamed brown-sugar cake - perfect for sweet-toothed gourmets - is available at $10 for a whole cake. Matcha green tea cream puffs are also a highlight, costing $2.80 per piece.

Want something healthy after indulging yourself? Highly nutritious Japanese-grown sweet potatoes are steamed and sold at $2.50 per 100g.

Those who spend $50 and above in a single receipt on the same day at the fair will have a chance to win a pair of return air tickets to Fukuoka via Tokyo on ANA.
