Italian restaurant Da Laura has reopened this month as MiaTorino - "mia" means "mine" in Italian, while Torino is the capital of Piedmont in north-western Italy, where owner Enrico Furlan, 45, is from.
The chef is Erik Trozza, 35, who is also from Piedmont, and the restaurant focuses on cuisine from that region. Offerings include Plin Ravioli ($34), ravioli with braised beef; and Gnocchi ($28), handmade Italian dumplings with a mashed-potato-and-flour skin and stuffed with Fontina cheese and hazelnuts.

Ramen chain Ippudo has opened its sixth outlet here at Changi Airport Terminal 3.
The takeaway booth offers Japanese dip sandwiches such as a chicken sandwichwith Japanese curry dip or Teriyaki dip ($7.90), beef sandwich with shoyu dip ($6.90) and a shrimp one with sweet chilli mayo dip ($7.90).
