BURRITO BOYS

This 50-seat Mexican restaurant allows you to have your food in three ways: in a burrito; in a bowl, where the filling is placed atop rice and/or lettuce; or in tacos (two small flour tortillas).

Choose from five types of fillings - the signature ones are grilled steak ($11, below) and grilled chicken ($9.50).

Toppings include rice, beans, cheese, sour cream and salsa. It costs $2 to add guacamole, or you can have the restaurant's signature homemade chips with avocado-based dip ($4).

MIATORINO

Italian restaurant Da Laura has reopened this month as MiaTorino - "mia" means "mine" in Italian, while Torino is the capital of Piedmont in north-western Italy, where owner Enrico Furlan, 45, is from.

The chef is Erik Trozza, 35, who is also from Piedmont, and the restaurant focuses on cuisine from that region. Offerings include Plin Ravioli ($34), ravioli with braised beef; and Gnocchi ($28), handmade Italian dumplings with a mashed-potato-and-flour skin and stuffed with Fontina cheese and hazelnuts.

This 180-seat golf-themed restaurant and bar overlooks Laguna National Golf & Country Club's Masters Golf Course and is open to the public on weekdays.

It offers local and international cuisine such as Hainanese Chicken Rice ($12.90) and The Nest Combo Platter ($32.90), which comes with spicy chicken wings, lamb and salmon skewers, pork balls with cheese and bread rolls with otah.

Complete your meal with a drink from the bar, which is open for lunch and dinner.

IPPUDO EXPRESS @ CHANGI

Ramen chain Ippudo has opened its sixth outlet here at Changi Airport Terminal 3.

The takeaway booth offers Japanese dip sandwiches such as a chicken sandwichwith Japanese curry dip or Teriyaki dip ($7.90), beef sandwich with shoyu dip ($6.90) and a shrimp one with sweet chilli mayo dip ($7.90). Or have the Miso Butter Tonkotsu ramen ($8.90), noodles and tender pork belly in a pork broth blended with miso paste and topped with butter.

The artisan bakery and food store has opened its third outlet at InterContinental Singapore.

Its signature offerings include sourdough doughnuts, which come with five types of fillings - the ones with vanilla-bean cream or raspberry jam cost $4 each, while those with salted caramel custard, chocolate custard or caramelised apple compote cost $5.50 each.
