Build your own dessert platter with bite-sized treats such as cheesecakes, brownies or cupcakes at this 48-seat cafe in Punggol.

You can choose any three items for $8.90 a set.

Choices include Rainbow and Paddle-pop cheesecakes, and red velvet and chocolate cupcakes.

The line-up changes weekly.

Quench your thirst with drinks such as Yuzu Fizz ($7.90), which is a yuzu-flavoured soda topped with a yuzu sorbet.

The cafe also serves six flavours of ice cream, including toasted marshmallows and Earl Grey ($3.90 a scoop).

AEIOU CAFE

This 11-day-old cafe serves fusion French cuisine and offerings include Vegetable Terrine ($22.90), a loaf made of portobello mushroom and zucchini; Beef Cheeks Pasta ($24.90), which has beef chunks on a bed of tagliatelle tossed in balsamic vinegar and roased pumpkin and quinoa salad ($14.90).

The 50-seat cafe also sells upcycled accessories and homeware.

LE HALO

This three-week-old cafe in Jalan Bukit Ho Swee features an all-day breakfast menu with dishes such as Piggy Stew ($11.50), pork chunks served with crispy buttered toast; Otak Egg ($8.50), which is Muar otah paired with a sunnyside-up egg and toast; mushroom carbonara ($14.50) and meatball pasta ($14.50).

Drinks include Soursop Sorbet Float ($6) with soursop ice cream and Gryphon teas ($6 or $7 by the pot).

The 18-seat cafe is in collaboration with online vintage shop Chair-ish The Moments, which shares a small retail space.

CAFE AOYAMA COLLABORATIVE

Instead of the usual brunch places, head to Japanese-style cafe for tonkatsu sets and cream crepes.

Menu highlights include black pork loin tonkatsu set ($15), wagyu steak don ($45), chicken teriyaki don ($12) and spicy cod roe pasta ($15).

Side dishes include lotus root chips ($5) and deep-fried sweet shrimp ($8). For dessert, create your own fresh cream crepe ($8 each, add $2 for ice cream) with a choice of fruits, sauce and toppings.
