New in Tanjong Pagar Road is The Shavencat, which offers lunch, dinner, small plates and club entertainment.
It is divided into two sections, The Bar, which has a modern European menu, and The Club, with live entertainment from 6.30pm.
Dishes at The Bar include Spicy Garlicky Tiger Prawn ($16), with chilli flakes, cereal and basil, and Wagyu Beef N Foie Gras Gyoza ($14), served with enoki mushrooms and black truffle dashi.
At The Club, diners can order Crispy Pork ($14), with butternut-feta salad and arugula, and Baby Back Ribs ($18).

Luke's Oyster Bar & Chop House
Luke's Oyster Bar & Chop House in Gemmill Lane now has a branch at The Heeren.
Like the first restaurant, the focus is on seafood from the East Coast of the United States, and New York-style chops and steaks.
Start off with the kale salad with roasted peanuts and herbs ($27) or wild rice salad with dried blueberries and toasted almonds ($15), new dishes created for this restaurant. Mains include Luke's Bone-in Beef Tenderloin Au Poivre ($74), served with mustard and Cognac jus.
The restaurant also serves a variety of oysters, priced at $45 for six and $90 for a dozen.

The 5,500 sq ft Outpost Bar & Bistro has opened at St James Power Station, offering food, drinks and live music.
Besides a variety of alcoholic beverages, such as the Flaming Lamborghini ($29) and Outpost Ice & Fire, ($20), guests can enjoy bites such as the Outpost Trio Mini Burgers ($18, above), beef, pork and crab cake burgers with thick-cut fries.

An all new rum-and-grill restaurant bar has opened in Amoy Street. It is by the people behind cocktail bar Jigger & Pony, which is also on the same street.
Dishes on the menu include the Hanger Steak ($24++) with homemade chimichurri sauce.
