For friends who like to make a cuppa the old fashioned way, using loose leaf tea, Fauchon has beautiful canisters of tea that will make welcome Christmas presents.
Not all the flavours are good, however.
The Mandarine & Yuzu one sounds promising but the citrus flavour is drowned out by the black tea.
The Rose & Pomme, however, is a winner.
The black tea leaves are sprinkled through with rose petals and pieces of dehydrated apple.
These plump up and impart an amazing aroma when hot water is added.
Beguiling rose wafts out of the cup and the wonder of it is that you can taste the sweet apples too.
On a rainy day, this is a warming drink, but when the weather starts to get warmer, I'll have pitchers of it in the fridge.
Fauchon Rose & Pomme tea, $22.50 for an 80g box from B2 Takashimaya Shopping Centre, tel: 6738-1111, open: 10am to 9.30pm (Sunday to Thursday), 10am to 10pm (Friday and Saturday)
