Posh Nosh: Toblerone crushed corn

Posh Nosh: Toblerone crushed corn

Popcorn has been big in desserts over the past two years or so, with chefs adding it to milk, cakes and plated desserts.

Toblerone, maker of Swiss milk chocolate bars shaped like mountains, has come up with a crushed corn version that I like a lot.

The taste of corn is more intense, mostly because the kernels are not popped. Rather, they seem to be roasted and dehydrated before being crushed.

Toasty corn is not something I might think to pair with chocolate, but it works really well here.

Toblerone Crushed Corn, $2.50 for a 100g bar, from The Cocoa Trees, B1-19 Tanglin Shopping Mall, tel: 6734-1326 open: 9.30am to 9.30pm daily
