SINGAPORE - If you enjoy Japanese sashimi, combine your love for premium raw fish with the coming Chinese New Year celebrations at Oceans of Seafood, located at Pasar Bella.
Their unique Vibrancy of Life yusheng is prepared with high quality fish flown in from Tokyo's world famous Tsukiji market.
Vibrancy of Life features boiled rock lobster and slices of salmon and Amberjack sashimi.
The vegetables are also imported from Japan, with shredded crunchy red radish, white radish and carrot, among others. Other ingredients include braised smelt fish, pickled turnips and tobiko (flying fish roe).
As a symbol of prosperity, the yusheng is topped with an edible gold leaf and served with a creamy homemade sesame sauce. It comes in a set with a bottle of sake (Japanese rice wine) to share around the table.
Vibrancy of Life is now available until March 5. It costs $128++ for dine-in and $128+ for takeaway.
Besides yusheng, Oceans of Seafood also offers lunch and all-day specials.
The lunch special includes Negitoro Chirashi ($18) with bluefin tuna imported from Japan, pasta ($12.80+) that comes in five seafood flavours, as well as carbonara spaghetti and vegetarian pasta with pesto sauce.
For the all-day special, there is a seafood platter for two people ($66++) and a seafood hotpot ($38+) that serves three to four persons.
