Sweet charity month

Sweet charity month

Do your bit for charity this month when you tuck into dessert at 13 restaurants and bars here. Each participating eatery has one nominated dessert and will donate $5 to the NUHkids fund for every order of it. The fund provides financial help to needy kids and youth who need medical treatment and surgery.

Extra Virgin Pizza, with outlets at Asia Square and United Square, will be offering a warm chocolate brownie sundae ($10), while Bar Stories in Haji Lane will be serving a strawberries and cream dessert cocktail of fresh strawberries, Baileys, Frangelico, butterscotch schnapps, vodka and ice cream ($24).

P.S. Cafe's orange bread and butter pudding ($14.90 a slice or $75 for the whole cake) - a warm, citrusy pudding-cake served with vanilla pouring custard - will be available at all its outlets as well as at the cafe chain's Asian-inspired eatery Chopsuey in Dempsey Hill.

The month-long event ends with a four-course fundraising dinner at Olivia Cassivelaun Fancourt, a restaurant at The Arts House, on Oct 31. Tickets are priced at $350 a person, of which $200 will be donated to the charity.
