MALAYSIA - Cornetto of Wall's Ice Cream has released the limited edition Taylor Swift Blackforest Red Ice Cream to mark its sponsorship of the seven-time Grammy winner's The Red Tour Concert.

The limited edition ice cream is a journey of tastes and textures, from creamy red rosettes and chocolate flakes to delicious chocolate ice cream with raspberry sauce.

Created for Swift's June 11 concert here, the packaging features the singer and songwriter's signature and image on the lid in six designs. The ice cream is available at RM2.90 (S$1.10) in retail outlets including convenience stores, petrol marts and mini markets.

Cornetto is giving customers a chance to get up close with Swift via a consumer contest. Top prizes include tickets to the concert. There are five pairs of Meet And Greet passes and Pit Standing Tickets, five Autographed Baby Taylor Swift Guitars, 50 pairs of Pit Standing Tickets, five pairs of Back Stage Passes and Red Zone Tickets, and 30 pairs of Red Zone Tickets.

Other prizes include autographed Red Taylor Swift CDs, Cornetto Red headsets, Taylor Swift T-shirts, Taylor Swift Red Cornetto caps, Taylor Swift iPhone 5 covers and Cornetto key chains.

Prizes are awarded based on points. One point is allocated for any Cornetto ice-cream purchased, Classic or Royale. To redeem points using the codes on the lids, log on to www.facebook.com/Cornetto.

Head of Wall's Ice Cream Shawn Tan says: "Having the opportunity to work with a world-renowned entertainer like Swift is a dream come true."

Cornetto and Sony Music Malaysia also present Ride To Fame, a contest for aspiring musicians to be the opening act for Swift. The winner gets the chance to perform in the sold-out concert.

Five contestants have been chosen: Narmi, I Am Neeta, Mark Adam, Diandra Arjunaidi and Deanna Hussin.

Each week, beginning Monday, contestants are required to upload a cover video for voting by fans and a panel of judges. The winner will be announced on May 12.

Fans can log on to www.cornettoredtour.com to vote for their favourite artiste. Voting began on Monday and after every week, the artiste with the least votes is eliminated. The last two standing will have to perform a cover version of a Swift song.

The judges are producer Jennifer Thompson, singer and TV personality Alif Satar and Sony Music general manager Hermond Cheng
