Gelato lovers can go crazy from Friday, when the Gelato World Tour hits town.
This will be held at Exhibition Hall D, Marina Bay Sands Convention Centre, till Sunday. Entry is free.
Sixteen gelato-makers will be competing for the title of World's Best Gelato and you can shape the result.
With a gelato ticket ($12, sold at the event. It gives you eight tasting portions). You can vote for your favourite.
Your vote and that of the jury's determine the top three flavours which will represent the Asia-Pacific region at the grand finale of the Gelato World Tour 2.0 in Rimini, Italy, in 2017.
Singapore has six finalists - Kochi Popz by Tom's Palette; Chendol Merdeka by Alfero Artisan Gelato; Loving Date by +39 Gelato Bar; Singapore Sling by Fatcat Ice Cream Bar; Good 'Ol Days by Momolato; and Beer with Ciambella by Pick Me Up Cafe.
Other countries in the finals are Australia, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, New Zealand, the Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam.
Other events for visitors include courses by the gelato chefs of the renowned Carpigiani Gelato University, workshops on how to open a gelato shop and a cooking demonstration by Chef Dave Pynt of Burnt Ends, a restaurant that made its debut on the Asia's 50 Best Restaurants 2015 list at No. 30.
