SINGAPORE - Woodlands Wellington's woes continued when they were trounced 7-1 by Albirex Niigata in their Great Eastern-Yeo's S.League match at the Jurong East Stadium last night.
The Rams, who lost their last two games, trailed 5-0 (Kosuke Matsuda, Kazuki Sakamoto 2, Norihiro Kawakami, Itsuki Yamada) at halftime, and had Walid Lounis sent off just before the interval.
Chang Jo Yoon (penalty-51st minute) pulled one back for Woodlands, but Sakamoto sealed his hat-trick from a 73rd-minute spot-kick.
Woodlands' Armanizam Dolah was also dismissed in the 82nd minute, before Albirex Kazuya Fukuzaki made it 7-1 in the 87th minute.
