GEORGE TOWN - A family of 12 are all decked out in their green and yellow ensemble to root for Brazil in the FIFA World Cup 2014.
Clad in vivid shades of green and yellow, three generations of the family are wearing Brazil jerseys and T-shirts to cheer for their favourite team under one roof in Kampung Lembah Permai, Air Itam, near here.
Visibly excited, 60-year-old Azizah Basha said that the World Cup this year would be different since part of it coincided with Ramadan, which is due to start end of this month.
"I am expecting a busy time since the family will be catching the late night matches and I will cook for sahur at around 5.30am," she said at her home yesterday.
Her daughter, Haryany Mohamad, 38, said that the jerseys were bought during a business trip to Brazil last year.
"My husband is a fan of the Brazil team since Julio Ceser and Neymar will be playing in this match.
"Since our family are all football fans, I went scouring for Brazil tees for our own family 'team' back home this World Cup," said Haryany , who is a curator.
The purchases cost her about RM2,000 (S$778).
"We plan to wake up in the middle of the night to watch the matches live, followed by sahur and head straight to work after the matches," she said.
