All set for National Day 6s

SINGAPORE Indian Association (IA) will hold the 15th edition of the National Day 6s Cricket tournament from Aug 8 to 10, at the association's grounds located on 69 Balestier Road.

The competitions for IA ND6s Cricket-SBI Cup will begin on Aug 8 with Junior Under-16 cricket, followed by Open category cricket on Aug 9.

The main event of the Sports Carnival is the League of Nations Challenge cricket competition and this will be held on the final day of the tournament, on Aug 10.

The countries represented in this challenge are Pakistan, India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, England, Australia-New Zealand (combined), Malaysia and Singapore.

Players in the teams are top-class players resident in Singapore and born in their respective countries.

The guest of honour on the final day is Mr S. Iswaran who is Minister in the Prime Minister's Office and Second Minister for Home Affairs and Second Minister for Trade and Industry.
