Bowling: Republic's women's team finish seventh at Worlds

The Singapore women's bowling team finished a disappointing seventh in the team event at the ongoing World Tenpin Bowling Association World Championships in Nevada in the US.

Shayna Ng, New Hui Fen, Daphne Tan, Bernice Lim and Jazreel Tan managed only a six-game total of 6,169 pinfalls to finish seventh, with the US taking pole position with their tally of 6,439 pinfalls.

Malaysia were second in the qualifiers with 6,277 pinfalls, while South Korea (6,262) and Venezuela (6,211) completed the start-list for the semi-finals, which took place on Friday morning (Singapore time).
