Chance to pedal on Formula One track

There is some good news for Formula One fans: The UBS Cycle the Circuit contest is back.

Here's your chance to experience the Marina Bay Street Circuit, the venue of the 2014 Formula 1 Singapore Airlines Singapore Grand Prix, and get an up-close look at the 5.073km track.

UBS and Singapore GP are partnering The Straits Times to offer 10 readers a rare chance to cycle the circuit with triple Tour de France green jersey winner Robbie McEwen on Sep 21, the morning of the Grand Prix.

The contest is also part of the ST Appreciates Readers (Star) programme to reach out to the community.

Said Caroline Darcy, UBS' head of sponsorship Asia Pacific: "Cycling is fast becoming one of the country's most popular sports and as a global partner of F1, we wanted to bring unique experiences to our clients and the Singapore community.

"We encourage all Straits Times readers to try for this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity."

To enter, simply upload a picture of yourself demonstrating your love for cycling on Instagram with the hashtag #UBSSTCycle with a short caption of less than 50 words.

You can also e-mail the picture and caption to stsportscontest@sph.com.sg.

The deadline for posts and submissions is noon, Sept 5.

Results will be announced in The Straits Times on Sept 9.
