Chance to rub shoulders with LionsXII players

The Football Association of Singapore is the latest organisation to join the trend of online crowdfunding initiatives.

It is using the platform to raise funds in association with its annual FAS Charity Golf Challenge for CARE United, the S.League's charity and community programme, designed to enrich the lives of the less fortunate through football.

It is divided into three main areas - the Children's Financial Assistance (CFA) scheme, the Transportation for Elderly Folks (TEF) scheme and the Development of Women's Football (DWF) scheme.

LionsXII fans are invited to donate amounts of $20, $50 or $100 via http://lionsxii.sg/fascharitygolf2014/

Up to 500 donors will get to watch a Malaysia Cup match at the Jalan Besar Stadium in an exclusive area in the stands, joined by four LionsXII players who will oblige with selfies and dish out goodie bags.

At least 100 fans will have to sign up before the event can go ahead.
