EPL: City stunned by Welsh wonders

The Premier League is just two weeks old and has already witnessed one of the upsets of the season. The party gatecrashers Cardiff City silenced the great pretenders of Manchester City, stunning the multi-millionaires 3-2.

Fraizer Campbell's double lifted Wales into a surreal wonderland and sent City into an early post-mortem.Two men contributed to the Welsh side's wondrous victory and they both wear City jerseys. Only one of them was playing.

Joe Hart handed Cardiff the victory with another worrying blunder. The injured Vincent Kompany paved the way for a Welsh win by leaving a gaping hole at the back that his team failed to fill.

Should City fail to win back the Premier League title this season, the prosecution must turn to the defence.

Manuel Pellegrini spent the best part of £90 million ($180m) on players who ply their trades ahead of the centre circle.

The new manager didn't look behind. He might want to do so before the transfer window closes or he will look back in anger.Cardiff City's plucky resistance was more than worth a 3-2 win in their first top flight game at home in 51 years.

Aron Gunnarsson cancelled out Edin Dzeko's opener and Campbell knocked in a double, but fingers will be pointed in the City dressing room.

In the 79th minute, Hart flapped at a corner, missed the cross entirely and Campbell knocked the ball in off his shoulder. Campbell added a second on the counter-attack in the 87th minute.
